Aston Martin offers exclusive factory tour at MMC

Aston Martin is offering an exclusive opportunity to tour its Gaydon manufacturing plant at WM’s Manufacturing Management Conference (MMC) on 15-16 June.

Eight places are available to go lineside at the flagship Aston Martin factory, which is a global centre of excellence for world-class sports car design and engineering.

Aston Martin will also be delivering a keynote conference seminar for all MMC delegates, which will detail the luxury car maker’s quest for outstanding safety standards at Gaydon.

Aston Martin joins an MMC factory tour programme that includes JLR, Weetabix, Brita, Vauxhall and GKN Driveline.

The stellar two day MMC programme will offer hints and tips to any UK manufacturer looking to foster operational excellence across Continuous Improvement, Safety and Maintenance functions.

MMC adopts a unique ‘hear, see and try’ learning format.The conference begins with a chance to hear from leading industry practitioners such as Toyota Motor Manufacturing and Aston Martin on their journey to world-class.Delegates will then break off into deep dive content streams around CI, safety and maintenance. The emphasis will be on winning workforce support for change in each area.

MMC’s afternoon workshops will challenge delegates to get hands on and try to put the theory into practice. Hosts, including world-leading safety body, IOSH and the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, will run activities ranging from online tests to a motion capture suit to illustrate lean manufacturing in action.
